“I walked into my local gym to sign up for a personal trainer. I was 93lbs standing 5’3” just came back from working out of the state for 3 months. I was extremely stressed, scared and unsure of my next life move. Stress causes me to not eat, unlike others, I reject food in circumstances of stress or depression. 93lbs was about 10-15lbs down from my normal weight. I wanted a trainer to bulk me up, help me gain weight the right way, and mostly help me become strong. I signed up with Daphne and we got to work. I was skeptical at first, and still going through a lot in my life so the weight didn’t just flood onto me. But what DID happen was far greater.
I wasn’t making mass gains in weight like I wanted to, but my body was responding to the work. I was getting ridiculously stronger. Soon I was able to do a pull-up with no help, sets of push-ups and even deadlift 2x my body weight. I went from 93lbs to 100lbs in a few months. Pure muscle gain. I realized I’m the strongest I’ve ever been. The best part of training with Daphne is she taught me I had to do this because I love my body, not because I hate it. And it’s safe to say that my body and I still have work to do, but I love it more now than I ever did. I’m not at my “target weight” but I don’t think about the number anymore, it truly is about feeling food in the skin you’re in. I feel great.”
