"I walked into my local gym to sign up for a personal trainer. I was 93lbs standing 5’3” just came back from working out of the state for three months.

I was extremely stressed, scared and unsure of my next life move. Stress causes me to not eat, unlike others, I reject food in circumstances of stress or depression.

93lbs was about 10-15lbs down from my normal weight. I wanted a trainer to bulk me up, help me gain weight the right way, and mostly help me become strong. I signed up with Daphne and we got to work. I was skeptical at first, and still going through a lot in my life so the weight didn’t just flood onto me. But what DID happen was far greater.I wasn’t making mass gains in weight like I wanted to, but my body was responding to the work. I was getting ridiculously stronger. Soon I was able to do a pull-up with no help, sets of push ups and even deadlift 2x my body weight.

I went from 93lbs to 100lbs in a few months. Pure muscle gain. I realized I’m the strongest I’ve ever been.

The best part about training with Daphne is she taught me I had to do this because I love my body, not because I hate it. And it’s safe to say that my body and I still have work to do, but I love it more now than I ever did. I’m not at my “target weight” but I don’t think about the number anymore, it truly is about feeling food in the skin you’re in. I feel great."

"It's been awhile since I've been motivated, but if you know anything about Daphne's fitness journey to get to where she is now, you have no choice but to be inspired.

I've always been a cardio bunny, doing Insanity, jogging, calorie restricting, etc.. Not long ago, I became interested in strength training/power lifting.

Who better to go to than the girl who has competed and killed multiple competitions? On the first day of training, you'll go through what your goals are and all that good stuff. I thought that I could just skip from nothing to powerlifting but she told me that there are steps into becoming a powerlifter. "Daphne is a very entertaining trainer and I have lost 12 lbs and built a lot of muscle.

When I started training with Daphne, I had trouble even lifting the 45 lbs barbell and now I can squat 155 for reps.

The first workout destroyed me and I was sore for a few days. But Daphne told me to continue and with the support of my boyfriend, I continued. My mentally about losing weight before lifting was doing cardio all day and dieting. However, after I started training with Daphne, I will never go back to doing just cardio. "I've had the pleasure to work with Daphne the past month. I have nothing but positive things to say about her and her training. I've lost roughly between 4-6 lbs just in one month training and following the diet plan.

Don't let the diet scare you. It's not your typical steamed veggies and chicken breasts like every other trainer makes you eat. It's about eating food that will meet your macros. I knew nothing about macros until she was able to explain in depth to me about how it works and how your body starts burning/losing fat by eating certain foods. 

Her personal training workouts are somewhat challenging but definitely doable. She challenges you and pushes you beyond your limits because she knows your capable of much more. If there was something I was uncomfortable doing or if I started to feel pain somewhere (damn my bad knees), she would take it into consideration and reassess. She actually listens to you and what your goals are. 

Unfortunately, I had to discontinue personal training due to schedule conflicts and finances (ahh the student life) but everything I learned from Daphne whether it is form, dieting, nutrition, exercises etc.. is beyond invaluable. Not to mention, she is genuinely a down to earth, hilarious, and insightful person whom I'm glad to have connected with. I am still going to continue the workouts and try my best to follow the macros plan. I've gained not only knowledge but a coach for life. "As good as it gets. There are a lot of trainers of the world, but it's not often you come across a trainer as Great as Daphne. Let me begin by saying that if you've ever even considered getting a trainer, Daphne is the way to go.

What makes a great trainer? This depends on what your goals are. Are you looking to lose weight? Gain strength? Increase flexibility? Whatever your goals are, a great trainer will be honest with what they're able to do and if they can help you. There are Too many trainers out there who are in it for the $ales and will promise you something but won't be able to deliver. That's not the case with Daphne. She was upfront with me - asked me what my goals were - and told me where she could (and couldn't - we both hate cardio, so probably not running marathons together) help. 

Honesty & Integrity should be #1 when it comes to a great trainer. You want to trust the person whom you're paying - that they know what they're doing and are getting you to your goals safely. I've been working out with Daphne for 2 months now, and it's been the best decision I've ever made. She's constantly encouraging me, pushes me to my limit and teaches me along the way - reminding me that the goal is to lead a healthier, but a balanced lifestyle. She focuses on the teaching and learning because she knows a trainer won't always be there. 

This is someone who truly cares about your wellbeing and your future and isn't in it for the $$. It's only the beginning, but I truly feel healthier, look better and am more confident in my day to day life. Girls holler.
